This Course gives all the essential information to start presenting your own radio show, become comfortable with microphones, studio operation & public speaking, leading towards proficient radio production, presentation and programme planning.
Trainees also learn about the care and use of the voice plus a little media law - so you know what you can, must (or cannot) say on community radio. All in a fun and supportive environment. Community radio is fun, useful and rewarding! |
What's Happening?
The voice of the Avon offers a training course in Radio production and presentation. This 8-week programme is being donated by Keith Taylor Media Training, who will be awarding a certificate of proficiency. The course is for beginners. The course will be held on Tuesday evenings between 6 and 8pm at the Voice of the Avon studios at 26 Barker Street in York and finish at a special presentation night with the entire Voice of the Avon crew. Student presenters learn the techniques of radio broadcasting, music selection, studio desk operation, voice production, programme preparation and much more. In their final weeks they will prepare and present a 30 minute radio programme of their own. |
